Overview

The Tanzil Seminary Noorani Qaida Curriculum is a structured foundational program that prepares students to read the Holy Quran with correct pronunciation, fluency, and confidence. The curriculum follows a progressive, learner-centered approach, beginning with Arabic letter recognition and advancing through essential Tajweed rules to practical Quranic recitation. Through guided instruction, repetition, and continuous assessment, students develop the skills needed for accurate and beautiful Quran reading.

Course Objectives

  • Recognize and correctly pronounce all Arabic letters (Makharij).
  • Identify letter forms in isolated, initial, medial, and final positions.
  • Read with Harakat (Fathah, Kasrah, Dammah), Tanween, Sukoon, and Shaddah.
  • Apply the rules of Madd (elongation) and basic Tajweed.
  • Learn foundational rules of Noon Saakinah, Meem Saakinah, Qalqalah, and Waqf (stopping).
  • Develop fluency in reading Quranic words, phrases, and short Surahs.
  • Build confidence and readiness for Quran recitation with Tajweed and future Hifz or Islamic studies.

Teaching Methodology

  • Individual pronunciation correction and recitation assessment.
  • Interactive reading exercises and regular revision.
  • Continuous progress monitoring and periodic evaluations.
  • Age-appropriate instruction for children, youth, and adult learners.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Noorani Qaida curriculum, students will be able to:

  • Read Arabic text accurately with proper pronunciation.
  • Apply fundamental Tajweed rules during recitation.
  • Read selected Quranic passages with confidence and fluency.
  • Progress to Quran reading (Nazrah), Tajweed, memorization (Hifz), and advanced Islamic studies with a strong foundation.
